The Language of Light

Speak, even if the words are small,
Let whispers dance like morning light,
For silence weaves a heavy veil,
And shadows grow in endless night.

Hearts are not made to walk alone,
In echoes of our own dark mind,
But in the spark of shared words,
We find the ties that gently bind.

A simple "hello," a passing smile,
Can lift the soul from burdened days,
For in each exchange, a bridge is built,
And life becomes a brighter blaze.

We are creatures of connection,
Woven from the threads of grace,
To talk, to listen, to touch a soul,
Is to be alive in every space.

So speak, and let the silence break,
For in each word, a heart is fed,
And gratitude will light the path,
In the bonds of love where we are led.

Reflection: The Power of Small Talk

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to get lost in our own heads. Life gets busy, and we start to forget the simple joy of just talking to people. But even the smallest conversations can make a big difference. It’s these little exchanges that keep us connected to the world around us.

There’s a quote from Naruto that really hits home for me:

"People should talk to others every day, even if it's small talk. Otherwise, their hearts will grow dark and serious. Talking to others builds bonds, and makes you feel grateful that you are alive. That's the kind of creature we humans are."

This quote perfectly sums up why we need those everyday interactions. We’re not meant to go through life alone. It’s in those quick chats, those friendly hellos, that we find a sense of belonging and warmth. They remind us that we’re all in this together.
